1.0. INTRODUCTION
The term information means processed data directly useful in decision making .In other
words information is an assembly of meaningful data items .The information is a very
important Item in any organization working strategies ,because the information generated
by the data processing activities is used by the organization to make decisions .The information
in payroll activity include purchasing , total tax , planning and many other .The information
is archived by applying some processing procedures on to the input raw data. Information
is stimuli that meaning in some context for its receiver when information is entered into and
stored in a computer, its generally referred as data .After processing such as formatting and
printing, output data can again be perceived as information .Then knowledge is a familiarity ,
awareness or understanding of someone or something such as facts ,information ,
descriptions , or skills or ability of the person recalls or uses his information and experience.
Wisdom is a quality of having experience ,knowledge and good judgment .Data processing
is any operations performed upon data , whether by automatic or manual means with the
purpose of converting them into useful information .

1.1. Information technology refer to the use of any computers, storage,

networking and other physical device, infrastructure and processes to create,
sprocess, store, secure and exchange all forms of electronic data. This is where
internet is used to study, store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data and

a subset of information and communication technology.

There is great different between data and information is that data is raw facts while
information with context ,second data has no context while information is processed data ,
third facts are just numbers and text and while information is value added to data after
summarized , organized and analyzed . In order any information to be good should have
criteria’s as such relevant to its purpose , accurate and comprehensive ,obtained from
reliable source , communicated to the right personal , communicated at the right time , it is
understandable by user . Those information obtained can be used in planning , measuring
performance of a certain activity ,identifying new business opportunity through market
