Instructions: Respond to each of the following questions with a complete sentence. You may receive if
a 100 if your answers show effort and quality. Please answer each prompt with at least one complete
paragraph.

Part 1: A big part of being successful now is knowing where you want to be in the future. As you plan for
your future this month list the 5 colleges you would like to attend below and why. If you do not plan on
attending a 4 year institution you can list technical colleges or training you plan on completing.

1.) Savannah College of Art & Design because SCAD is one of the best schools for what I’m
interested in studying in college & trying to pursue as a longtime career.
2.) Georgia Southern University because this is my basic Georgia college of choice. It’s a public
university with a theater program which I would be interested in.
3.) Spelman College because this is a local HBCU that I’m interested in.
4.) Howard University because of the famous alumni who do what I want to do career wise.
5.) Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University because if I had to pick an out of state Florida is my
first option because I have a lot of family there & FAMU has a good program that I’m interested
in.

Part 2: Of the five colleges listed select one as your top choice. Write a one paragraph summary of what
this college has to offer you. Include information such as campus organizations or activities you are
interested in, your intended major and how this college will help you achieve your professional goals.

SCAD is ultimately my top choice. I’ve been interested in SCAD for a year or two now. SCAD has some of
the best programs & opportunities that I’ve seen when looking for colleges that pertain to what I want
to do as a career. One of the things I’m most interested in is auditioning while I’m a student so that I can
book roles while I’m still young & build up my portfolio.

Part 3: How do you believe your time in Work Based Learning will help to better prepare you for your
future college and career plans? I believe that my experience in Work Based Learning will teach me
fundamentals of any workplace that I find myself in later in life. There are basic skills that I plan to
improve on while in the program & I will take these skills & lessons that I learn & use them to the best of
my abilities later on.
