Description and Use

OptiSperse* HTP Series products are aqueous so-
lutions of a polymeric dispersant. Some products
include caustic, phosphate, and/or a molybdate
tracer component. The dispersant is a low-
molecular- weight, synthetic phosphonated poly-
mer having a net anionic charge. The HTP-2 poly-
mer is unique and patented for use as a metal
oxide dispersant.
OptiSperse HTP Series products are chosen for
boiler systems where metal oxide deposits on
boiler heat transfer surfaces must be controlled.
These products are designed primarily for use in
coordinated phosphate/pH-based programs
where iron is the primary contaminant.

chemical feed line quest.

Feed Rate - Product feed rate is determined by

system conditions, such as heat transfer rate,
feedwater quality, and conditions particular to a
given installation. Consult your GE Water & Proc-
ess Technologies representative for feed rates ap-
propriate for your system.
Dilution - OptiSperse HTP Series products may be
fed neat or diluted in any proportion with good
quality feedwater, de-mineralized water, or con-
densate. Although it is compatible with all other
boiler treatment chemicals, it is not to be mixed in
the same tank with oxidizers, catalyzed sulfite, or
filming amines.
Equipment - All chemical feed equipment and
feed lines should be 304 or 316 stainless steel ma-
terials. Polyolefin mix tanks and storage tanks are
acceptable.
