first-time voter, below you will find a list of voter
registration information from Secretary of State websites
in some of our operating territories. The time to act is now,
ahead of the election, to make sure your registration is
complete in time for Election Day:

Alabama

Options on how to register to vote in Alabama include:

Submit an application electronically.

Have an Alabama Mail-In Voter Registration Form mailed to you.

Download the Alabama Mail-In Voter Registration Form then mail it into your local board of
registrars. Please fill in all information completely and accurately.

The voter registration deadline in Alabama for in-person, postmarked mail and online registrants is 15
days before Election Day.
Georgia
Options on how to register to vote in Georgia include:

Download, complete, and mail a voter registration application.

Contact your local county board of registrars' office or election office, public library, public
assistance office, recruitment office, schools and other government offices for a mail-in
registration form.

Registration is offered when you renew or apply for your driver's license at the Department
of Drivers Services.

The voter registration deadline in Georgia for in-person or postmarked mail registrants is 29 days
before Election Day. Those who apply for voter registration online must do so by the fifth Monday
before Election Day.

Illinois
Illinois citizens can use this website to register to vote online. To find other options, please contact
your county board of elections.

Mississippi
Options on how to register to vote in Mississippi include:

Register to vote at your Circuit Clerk's office, your Municipal Clerk's office when you get your
driver's license at the Department of Public Safety, or through the mail by downloading a voter
registration form from the Mississippi Secretary of State voter registration website and mailing it
to your Circuit Clerk.

Mail-in voter registration forms are available at the Secretary of State’s Office, in public libraries,
driver’s license exam stations, circuit clerks’ offices, municipal clerks’ offices, public schools, or by
clicking HERE. Voters may also register at certain state and federal agencies.

The voter registration deadline in Mississippi for in-person or postmarked mail registrants is 29 days
before Election Day.

North Carolina
Options on how to register to vote in North Carolina include:

Complete a voter registration form.

Print the form.

Sign the form (ink to paper). You must submit the original form by mail or in-person if you are a
new registrant. If you are an existing registrant in the county, you may also fax or email the signed
form.

Mail the form to your county board of elections.

DMV customers may register to vote or update their registrations (except name change) online.

The voter registration deadline in North Carolina for early in-person voters is the Saturday before
Election Day. All other voters who register by postmarked mail, in-person or online must be registered
25 days before Election Day.

Tennessee
Options on how to register to vote in Tennessee include:

Use online voter registration to conveniently register to vote or update your voter registration.

Download and complete the Voter Registration Application and mail the application to
your county election commission.

Pick up voter registration applications in person at the following locations:

County Election Commission Offices

County Clerk Offices

Public Libraries

Register of Deeds Offices

Register during a transaction with one of the following agencies:

Department of Health (WIC program)

Department of Human Services

Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Department of Veteran’s Affairs

The deadline for voter registration in Tennessee is 30 days before the election for in-person,
postmarked mail and online registrants. There is an amendment in the case that the 30th day falls on
a Sunday, making the deadline 29 days before Election Day.
Virginia
Options on how to register to vote in Virginia include:

Online Registration

Local voter registration office

Download a PDF copy of the registration form

State or local government offices when applying or re-certifying for Temporary Assistance for
Needy Families (TANF), SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, or Rehabilitation Services.

Government offices in the State that provide State-funded programs primarily engaged in
providing services to person with disabilities

Armed forces recruitment offices

Public libraries

Virginia Department of Elections office

Department of Motor Vehicles offices

Voter Registration Drives

The completed application can be filed with the local registration office or mailed to the address
printed on the form. Application for registration can be submitted using a Virginia Voter Registration
Application form or a National Voter Registration Application form.

The registration deadline in Virginia for those registering online, postmarked mail or in person is 22
days before Election Day. There is an amendment in the case that the 22nd day falls on a Sunday,
making the deadline 21 days before Election Day.

Employees in Texas, California, D.C. and elsewhere are encouraged to look up their secretary of state
websites to find out how to register to vote.
