The executive session will be held pursuant to Section, 286.011, Florida Statutes and the
subject matter shall be confined to the settlement negotiation, strategy, cost of litigation and
expenditures in a Petition for Writ of Certiorari filed in Appellate Court under case number 16-
193-AP by Temple Beth Tov, Ahavat Shalom, Inc. against City of West Miami, a political
subdivision of the State of Florida and Green Gables Investments, LLC.

This entire session shall be recorded by a certified court reporter. The executive session
shall commence at an open meeting and the executive session shall be announced as well as the
estimated length of the attorney/client session and the names of all persons attending and then
the meeting shall be closed to the public. At the conclusion of the executive session, the meeting
shall be reopened to the general public and the City Mayor shall announce the termination of the
session. The transcript of the executive session shall be filed with the Clerk and shall be sealed
until the conclusion of the litigation.

NOTE
* Any person, or persons, wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or
hearing, will require a verbatim record of the proceeding upon which the appeal is based. Interested persons should, therefore, take the necessary
steps to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which contains the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.

* Any person wishing to address the City Commission on any item on the agenda shall register with the City Clerk prior to the item being heard.
Prior to making a statement, please state your name and address for the record.
* Any person requiring special accommodations for participation in the meeting should contact the City Clerk at 305 266-1122, with requests for
auxiliary aids or services at least two business days before the meeting.
* Any person who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the Miami-Dade County Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics must register with the City Clerk,
prior to engaging in lobbying activities before city staff, boards, committees and/or the City Commission. A copy of the Ordinance is available in
the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall.
* Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while addressing the Commission shall be barred from further
audience before the Commission. Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be
prohibited. Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers.
