Instructions: Respond to each of the following questions with a complete sentence. You may receive if
a 100 if your answers show effort and quality. Please answer each prompt with at least one complete
paragraph.

Part 1: A big part of being successful now is knowing where you want to be in the future. As you plan for
your future this month list the 5 colleges you would like to attend below and why. If you do not plan on
attending a 4 year institution you can list technical colleges or training you plan on completing.
Five of the universities that I would like to attend are University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Emory
University, Penn State, and Kennesaw State. I’d like to go to one of these schools because I believe
that these universities could push me to strive for my ambitions. Another reason is because these
schools is because I feel like these schools can provide me with the proper resources and assistance
with achieving my goal.

Part 2: Of the five colleges listed select one as your top choice. Write a one paragraph summary of what
this college has to offer you. Include information such as campus organizations or activities you are
interested in, your intended major and how this college will help you achieve your professional goals.
My desired top choice would be Emory University. This university has a wide variety of options to
choose from regarding different majors. It’s also a liberal arts school, so not only would I be constantly
learning about the information about my major, I’d be learning about other categories of education.
This will broaden my perspective not just in my educational career but also in my life. This university
also offers many opportunities affiliated with biology/medicine. Not only this, but once graduating
from this university, I could attend Emory University’s medical school.

Part 3: How do you believe your time in Work Based Learning will help to better prepare you for your
future college and career plans?

I believe Work Based Learning has allowed me to learn and grow many skills. Some skills include time-
management, communication, and flexibility. I am aware that in university, there are going to be
unexpected obstacles that I will encounter. Through the experiences I have obtained in Work Based
Learning, I can manage my time in the way I feel is best, I can communicate with others in a quick and
easy manner, and I can be patient and flexible with school and possibly work.
