Roadmap for a Builds Technician

1. End of Week 1
a. Be able to successfully build a workstation and start the Burn In Process
b. Be competent in ConnectWise (CW) enough to add times and proper notes to the respective tickets.
c. Read and comprehend the Sales orders.
d. Understand the Daily routine and duties required of the position.
e. Be able to fill out Daily Tracker
2. End of Week 2
a. Be able to properly cable manage a workstation
b. Be able to successfully build a Standard Server and start the Burn In Process
c. Know where and how to escalate various situations that may arise
d. Explain the differences between our standard offerings
3. End of Month 1
a. Be able to successfully build All Servers and start the Burn In Process
b. Be able to properly cable manage all systems
c. Be able to understand the firmware flashing process
d. Have completed some shadowing of the deployment process
e. Completing Intel Training Tests as scheduled
4. End of Month 2
a. Be able to deploy systems and get the ready for QC
b. Understand all responsibilities of the QC position (ie. Serial Numbers, Doyenz, BDR Portal, Ability to
navigate Everest, etc)
5. End of Month 3
a. Be able to properly and thoroughly QC systems
b. Complete and Pass the first certification on the respective certification track
c. Be able to test and diagnose RMA’s, as well as, fully understand our RMA policy and procedures
6. End of Month 4
a. Be able to properly and thoroughly QC BDR’s
7. End of Month 6
a. Complete and Pass the second certification on the respective certification track
8. Month 7 -12
a. Complete the Certification Track

iv. Network +
