My motivation to be a part of UNV is because it come from my own interest.

After graduating
from the bachelor degree, I believe that it is a right moment for me to learn from the big
organization like United Nations and also to share and implement my education knowledge and
skills that I have, therefore I am encouraging myself to apply UNV. I hope this is a big
opportunity to realize my dream, my motivations to be a part of UN team to serve more people
who needs help. But also it is a privilege to work with a very high reputation of organization,
United nations in Timor-Leste.
Back to previous years in the past, before going to continue my studies, I have involved in
community activities in my village, Tutuala, Lautem and in others districts of Timor-Leste
working as volunteer in some organization in Dili, including working at the national Aquiver,
(Ministeriu Statal) of Timor-Leste after graduated from the high school.

Currently I am working as an administration and finance, working with centru Sover, a local
organization based in Dili. This organization has provided me a chance to involve in the
communities, working with vulnerable people (person with disabilities), women’s group who
are producing face mask for UNDP projects. This experiences have motivated me, If I have a
chance to involve in UN Volunteers, I can also continue my dream, my inspirations working with
more communities in a similar program which United national agencies like UNDP has done to
the communities. For me it is a great work serving my own Timorese people. By doing that, it
can help me to serve more Timorese but also I can gain more skills working with UN.
