Interim Placements Report 2019-20

K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research (SIMSR),

Mumbai has begun placement season in 2019-20 on a positive note.

The placements at SIMSR this year are progressing well, even in an

industrially challenging year, when the campus hiring by companies is quite
subdued.

 Over 89% of the students have finalized their job placements.

 Nearly 90% students have got their assignments in place for
Summers Internships.
 The entire batch should be placed by January, 2020 or latest
February, 2020
 Among the principal offers made, the students have received job
offers from Industrial Sectors like Banking and Insurance Sector,
IT & ITES, Financial Services, Consulting, FMCG and
Manufacturing.
 With multiple profiles on offer, students had a plethora of options
to make informed decisions to shape their career.

Final Placements (Batch size – 508 Students)

 Average salary of Top 100 Offers is Rs. 13.25 lacs

 Highest salary: Rs. 28.00 lacs pa
 Average salary: Rs. 10.08 lacs pa.
 127 recruiters visited SIMSR Campus for Final Placements so far
 28 new recruiters were added to the pool for final placements

Summer Internships (Batch size – 521 Students)

 Highest stipend: Rs 1,45,000/- pm

 Average stipend: Rs. 30,000/- pm.
 115 companies for Summer Internships visited so far
 23 new recruiters visited for summer placements.
