Scope of work for Hydro-mechanical, Control and Electrical

Equipments of dam & relevant structures

(Client's consultant- EPC)

Pre-feasibility Study:

 Reviewing preliminary design of hydraulic department and


determining type of the equipment.
 Preliminary cost estimation of hydro-mechanical equipment and
appurtenances.

Feasibility Study:

 Data collection relating to hydraulic structures, hydrology, access


roads and etc
 Determining general schema of hydro-mechanical equipments
 Coordination with relevant sections
 Technical review of the preliminary designs in order to select the
acceptable ones
 Preliminary cost estimation of hydro-mechanical equipment
 Revising the hydraulic drawings and cooperating with relevant
departments in preparing preliminary drawings of equipment
layout
 Preparing the technical report for hydro-mechanical equipment

Providing Employer's Requirement:

Following activities will be done to provide Employer's requirements


according to mutual agreement:

 Data Collection
 Preliminary design of hydro-mechanical equipment, determining
the type and overall dimensions
 Determining gate chamber dimensions and locating the access
roads
 Providing the equipment layout
 Determining the type and capacity of hoist systems of hydro-
mechanical equipment
 Determining the loads applied to supporting structures of hoist
systems
 Design of electrical and control system of hydro-mechanical
equipment
 Estimating hydro-mechanical and electrical equipment cost
 Providing hydro-mechanical equipment layout with required
details (as tender documents)
 Providing electrical and control drawings (as tender documents)
 Providing general and special technical specifications
 Providing data sheets for hydro-mechanical and electrical
equipment(as tender documents)
 Providing bill of quantities for hydro-mechanical and electrical
equipment(as tender documents)
 Submitting final report of the equipment

Construction and Supervision:

 Review and approval of time schedule of activities


 Review and approval of calculation book and drawings of
equipment prepared by hydro-mechanical contractor
 Review and approval of documents and technical specifications of
the equipment to be purchased
 Review and approval of quality control documents including QS,
PS & QCTM
 Review and approval of operation and maintenance documents
 Superior Supervision of fabrication process of the equipment and
doing the category C inspection
 Superior Supervision of installation process of the equipment
 Supervision of installation process and commissioning tests of the
equipment at construction site
 Issuing site instructions
 Issuing transportation permission for equipment from workshop to
site and release note for equipment present at site
 Coordination with other resident contractors
 Reviewing the contractor's invoices and claims
 Attending handover committee meetings
