(CO-PO1)(C1) ( marks) QUESTION 2 In constructing the modern high speed rail network station, choose the most relevant type of standard to be referred by the parties involved. Identify any FOUR (4) potential risks to be avoided if management decided to use the chosen standard. (CO1-PO1)(C3) (10 marks) QUESTION 3 Figure Q3(i) shows the ground floor key plan for a proposed workshop construction project and Figure Q3(ii) shows the cross section X-X. The reinforcement schedule for the footings and stumps are given in Table Q3(i) and Table Q3(ii). Concrete G35 and G25 are used for concreting footing and stump respectively. Concrete cover for both footing and stump is 30 mm and the density of steel bar is 7850 kg/m®. The project also includes the construction of an embankment with a side slope of 2:1. (CO2-PO3)(C4) i) Figure Q4(i) shows the route of pavement for Proposal | and Proposal I! of the area which tabulated into grid of 50 m x 50 m in the contour plan. Figure Q4(ii) shows the cross section of the road works while Table Q4 shows the price of the materials. By neglecting the turf work, analyze the most economical route for the project if the platform level of the road embankment is 55 m. An unskilled worker, skill worker and an excavator are planned for this work. Table Q6(i) shows the price of materials provided by supplier for the works while Table Q6(ii) shows the cost of earthwork and installation of geogrid and geotextile based on contract. Maju Berhad planned to hire a sub-contractor for the excavation works and the cost proposed by sub-contractor for the excavator including driver is RM 20,000.00, Estimate the number of geogrid and geotextile required for the works. Using the information in Table Q6(i) and Table Q6(ii), compare the road work cost between BQ Contract price and the price proposed by Maju Berhad. Justify your answer by stating the profit and loss for the works.
