7 Is scope and terminal points clearly shown, both with
customer and sub vendor scope?
8 Are manufacturing and fabrication tolerances shown for
the general and any special case?
9 Is all temporary steelwork or other items clearly
indicated?
10 Has each Duct & fuel pipe line component set of
drawings include all necessary General Notes, Erection
Notes, Material Specifications, Piece Mark List (if
applicable)& Reference Drawings?
11 Has shop field weld indications been checked with
respect to site assembly?
12 Is correct corner construction listed on general notes?
Is it being correctly used by detailer?
13 Is enough information provided for Erection and
Vendor equipment interface connections? (Flange
drilling, welds, etc)
14 Are Damper orientations properly shown?

15 Has Damper shaft location been shown?

16 Are Damper blades "Self contained"? If not do blades


interfere with pipe struts or duct internals?
17 Do Damper flanges have drilling? If yes, is matching
drilling pattern for mating duct pieces shown on

18 Do damper linkage clear insulation, lagging and other


equipment?
19 Where required have personnel protectors been
provided for Damper linkage?
20 Are the manual dampers & instruments at accessible
levels?
21 Is field welding for Non-Metallic Exp. Jts. shown on
Duct Arrg't Drawings? Do mating angles/bent plates
allow for erection adjustment/tolerances?
22 Are backing plates required? Whose scope are they
in? Non-Metallic Exp. Jt. Supplier or Ductwork
Supplier?
23 If backing plates are required are they shown on Duct
Arrg't Drawings? Is field welding for baffles to ductwork
shown?
24 Are backing plates shown correctly with flow? Also, if
cold presetting of joint is required, do baffles allow for
all Thermal expansions?
25 Has the scope of supply of backing plates clearly
mentioned in the drawing? Non-Metallic Exp. Jt.
Supplier or Ductwork Supplier’ scope?
26 Have personnel protection been provided where

27 Have vertical bracing and Steel Platforms been
checked for interference with Ductwork & fuel pipe
line?
28 Do structural Steel drawings show steel at hanger and
guide locations?
29 Are items not part of Duct & fuel line component scope
identified in General Notes? Are these Pc. Mks shown
with appropriate Tag No.'s in body of drawings?
(Exp.Jts, Dampers, Hanger Rods, Slide bearings Etc)
30 Are thermal expansion movement indicated @ Vendor
equipment interface? (Hopper flanges, damper shafts,
terminal points etc.))
31 Do supports remain effective and take into account of
expansion of duct during operation?
32 If revision have been made to drawing after preliminary
issue, are revision identified and highlighted? Also
revision should describe what was done to drawings
and appropriately signed and dated.
33 Have the support location and type of support
mentioned in the drawing.
34 Are the stiffeners provided as per the Engg.
guidelines?
35 Is it ensured that the stiffener corners are welded with
each other so that these do on act as dead weights?
36 Have the dimensions of the bought out items like flow
elements, SCAPH, dampers & expansion joints tallied

with vendor drawings? In case the bought out item


dimensional details are not available, have hold been
put for these in the drawings?
Have the duct part sizes been decided as per
transportation feasibility as per the laws of the state?
37 Has the headroom available on the platforms over
which the ducts have been routed been checked? Has
duct insulation also been taken into account while
calculating the headroom?
38 Is duct cross-section area is as per the velocity
guidelines?
39 Have access doors been provided at proper locations
as per requirement from maintenance point of view?
40 Whether the dimensions given in the assembly & the
part drawings are matching?
41 Whether the surface preparation & the painting notes
have been provided?
42 Whether the levels, dimensions & flange details match
with the connecting components like fans, airheater,
ESP etc.
43 Whether all instrument tapping as mentioned in the P &
ID have been covered in the ducting layout.
44 Ensure that there are no abrupt or too many bends and
there are no sudden contractions or expansions so that
there is not too much of pressure drop
45 Ensure that the gaskets, fasteners, insulation clips,
lifting lugs have been provided as required
46 Ensure that duct plate & stiffener material is selected
suitable to withstand the temperature
47 Ensure that the duct plate thickness is as per the
contract specifications
48 Ensure that the cladding material has been selected as
per the contract specifications
49 Whether damper actuator is properly supported

50 Ensure that the minimum required straight length at the


upstream & downstream of Aerofoil is provided
51 Ensure that Guid vanes are provided as per the design
standard
52 Have the quantity of item highlighted in the drawing.

53 Whether Bill of Material or material list completed.

54 Are weight of material given in the B.O.M

55 Have all the reference Drg. Nos. or related Drg. Nos.


mentioned in the drawing.
