a 100 if your answers show effort and quality. Please answer each prompt with at least one complete
paragraph.

Part 1: A big part of being successful now is knowing where you want to be in the future. As you plan for
your future this month list the 5 colleges you would like to attend below and why. If you do not plan on
attending a 4-year 3institution you can list technical colleges or training, you plan on completing.

University of Miami: UMiami is one of my top choices! In college, my intended major is Business
Administration and the business program at UMiami is amazing! I love the location of the campus as it’s
so beautiful and the city of Miami has so many amazing opportunities for business students.
University of Texas at Austin: UT Austin’s business school is in the top twenty in the nation. They have
connections with credited business’s so getting a job after graduation should be easier!
University of Georgia: Terry College is an amazing business school as well. UGA has a beautiful campus
and it would be more affordable due to in state tuition and HOPE scholarship.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: UNC is a well credited university with a well credited
business school. I love UNC’s campus and it’s not too far from home!
University of Maryland: I love UMD’s campus and their emphasis on academics.

Part 2: Of the five colleges listed select one as your top choice. Write a one paragraph summary of what
this college has to offer you. Include information such as campus organizations or activities you are
interested in, your intended major and how this college will help you achieve your professional goals.

The University of Miami is my top choice. During the summer, I attended many virtual tours and
UMiami was my favorite; the campus is beautiful. It’s a suburban school located near a large city and
that is exactly what I’m looking for. I’m interested in their Cognate program which allows students to
take different classes in three areas of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, People and Society, and
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. My intended major is Business Administration and
Miami Herbert business school is known for its stelar academics. Their business school would set me up
for future jobs because they have many connections with well-known companies.

Part 3: How do you believe your time in Work Based Learning will help to better prepare you for your
future college and career plans?

Work Based Learning will help me for my future by giving me real world work experience. Even
though I don’t plan to major in the health field, there are many benefits I get from working at the
doctor’s office. I am getting experience working with my co-workers and my boss. Working there also
helps me with time management and responsibility. I am strengthening my communication skills when I
interact with patients. All these skills are crucial in the Business field.
