Dockage is a material that is being removed from the grain by using approved cleaning equipment so
that grain can be assigned the highest grade for which it qualifies. For the grain to be in a good quality,
it must undergo process to remove the dockage by sieving, I think from small hole of sieve to the
bigger one for it to lessen the impurities.
Thickness grading is necessary, because by the use of thickness grading it improves the kernels
quality. It also separates the thinner kernels for its own other purpose such as flour.
But there are times that thin kernels break during the milling process, and to avoid that, the duration of
milling process in thin kernels should be in a shorter time, to increase yield and to lessen the
breakage.
In the dockage determination I can say that the smaller percentage has the larger impurities and the
larger the percentage the highest percent of purity.
In the Thickness grading, the mature grains has the higher percentage compare to immature grain
which has lower percentage.

Just like planting some crops, I can relate it to Dockage determination, the more you sieve the grain the
more you get the high quality of it. In crops the more you took care of your crops, the more harvest you
can get. The more effort you exert the more quality products you can get.
