Alliance Lead Cheat Sheet

This document outlines the key items your Alliance Lead should focus on to set up your organization for success in APN Partner Central.

APN Partner Central – General Set up

APN - How to Add Users to Partner Central
Add Training & Certification Account Email Address to APN Partner Central Account 12
Some individuals within your organization may have attained certifications with personal email address, instead of the email address
with domain that is registered in APN Partner Central. Ask the individual who supports your APN Partner business and has attained
certification: Create User Account > Click “View My Profile” on the left > Click “Edit” > Fill in the “AWS Training & Certification Account
Email” field > Click “Save”. It may take a few business days for the system to reflect any certification attainment. Note that new users
should go to the Self-Register in APN Partner Central page and register using your firm's domain (i.e. you cannot use yahoo.com,
gmail.com, etc.).
Register for Discounted Training Courses
Learn more about how APN Partners may be eligible for 50-70% off AWS Training delivered by APN Training Partners (ATPs) as well as
an AWS Certification exam voucher once training is completed. More details can be found in the How-to Guide: Registering for
Discounted Training Courses (2019).
Grant Users with Access to ACE Pipeline Manager 3
Grant Access to APN Customer Engagements (ACE) Pipeline Manager to manage opportunities: Click “View My APN Account” on the left
> Scroll down to “Manage APN Customer Engagements Users” section > Click “Manage APN Customer Engagements Users”.
Submit Opportunities
Either directly submit opportunities via ACE Pipeline Manager or encourage sales reps to submit their AWS-related opportunities: Login
to APN Partner Central > Click “My Customers” tab > Click “Opportunities” sub-tab > Click “+Add” > Fill in the details > Click “Save &
Submit”. Opportunities should be about net-new, partner-led AWS business for end-customer with significant pre-sales effort.
Report AWS Direct Revenue (Technology Partners only)
In lieu of launching opportunities, report direct revenue: Click “View My APN Account” > Scroll down to “My Domains” section > Follow
the link to contact APN Support with information on the additional domain(s) to be added.
Register Solutions (Technology Partners only)
Register your organization’s AWS-based solution (General Availability) on APN Partner Central: Click “View My APN Account” > Scroll
down to “Solution” section > Click “New” > Fill in the details > Click “Submit”.
Open Case
In addition to the support from the partner manager, it is best to contact APN Support team by opening a case on APN Partner Central.
Some main topics could include APN Partner’s Training & Certification, APN Tier Upgrades & Compliance, Partner Central Login Issues,
and APN Data Quality (Account Merges, Data Updates, etc.). Simply follow the steps: Login to APN Partner Central > Click “ACTIVITY”
sub-tab > Click “OPEN NEW CASE” box > Select relevant fields from drop down lists > Compose the question or request > Click “Submit”.
Apply for Upgrade to Select-tier & Above
First, let the partner manager know of your plan to submit upgrade. Next, follow the steps: Login to APN Partner Central > Click
“REQUEST UPGRADE REVIEW” botton at the bottom of Partner Scorecard Overview > Submit necssary details including your 12 digit
AWS ID, which can be found in your AWS Management Console (Billing Tab). Give at least a week for the audit to be completed and APN
Program Fee to be billed. Last, pay the APN Program Fee.
Subscribe to Content in Partner Central (All Partner Users, not restricted to Alliance leads)
