DIRECTIONS:

Think of the past week, and record the time of your use and interaction with media and information
providers (such as internet, social media, TV, radio, newspaper, etc.). Using the table presented, provide
information in the time table, then answer the questions that follows.

Note: You may change the information under media or information provider.

Questions:

1. Which media provider do you spend the most time?

I spent most of the time using messenger, since it is now the main medium of communication in
new normal.

2. What roles does media play in your lives? (Leisure, learning, communication, etc.)
Media perform different roles in our lives. For me the roles of media are that it is the main
source of information, like if we want to know something, we will just have to type it and then the
information that we want to know is there already. Through this it’s easier for us to gain knowledge
and share our knowledge to the world. And also, since we are in a new normal, it is now the main
mode of communication, and I think it’s a lot easier and safer. And sometimes media can also help
to ease our boredom, through it we can watch random videos that we want and we can listen to
music to be entertained and to podcast that can help us to learn something new. But then media
can also have a negative impact on someone, because there’s a lot of information is circulating in
the internet and we can’t figure out anymore what’s fake and what is the truth.
