EXERCISE 1
Technology has become part of our everyday life. There has been a rising
discussion about its effects. Some people think that technology causes harm and
others say it has made their lives easier. What are really the advantages and
disadvantages of technology?
Firstly, technology improves efficiency for business. Sending documents and
emails has become faster and less complicated. Secondly, technology provides a
better communication. In earlier times, communication was very difficult.
Thanks to technology, the world has become closer and you can text, call or
videocall relatives and friends from all around the world.
On the other hand, there are some drawbacks of technology. To begin with,
the hours we spend in front of computers and phones has increased our
dependability on technology. This is making our lives inactive and boring.
Furthermore, technology is very expensive. Prices are high, which means that it
can be used only by people who are able to afford it.
Taking everything in consideration, there are clearly strong arguments for and
against technology. What we all must know and be conscious for, is to be
careful in using it…
EXERCISE 2.
When I was 10 years old, I went on a trip to Brezovica with my family. It was an
amazing experience. Every morning we would wake up to the white panorama.
During the day we would do different activities. We would eat breakfast and the
we used to watch Christmas movies. After that, we would go skiing for one and
a half hours and then we used to talk about that experience with each other.
When the temperature used to get lower, we would go back to hotel and we
would stay inside. Every evening, we would eat dinner while listening to
wonderful traditional music.
