Lester Holt is the main anchor.

The main anchor, Lester Holt, is wearing a suit.

The microphones on the lapel on theanchors, on their shirts or suit jackets. All of the anchors
and reporters are using microphones that are pinned to their shoulders.
7. Describe the flow of the newscast: (serious, straight forward, upbeat, etc)
The newscasts is very straight forward and slightly serious. Every person in the newscast displays
professionalism and covers their stories in an effective manner.
8. What are your thoughts overall after watching?

The NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt has always been a favorite. I appreciate the concise
storytelling skills displayed throughout the show. The newscast does an excellent job of
including so many stories and in a 30 minute timeframe.

Yes, there were reporter packages. The reporter packages largely varied in style. The types of packages
included live shots, VOSOTs, PKGS, VOSOTOVOs, and VOs.
The lower thirds included the guest names and a short description of their title for all SOTs but for the
normal interview guests, lower- thirds weren’t included for the general public unless they held a
positon.

What did reporters say in their outcues?


They say their name, NBC News and then their location if needed.

Describe the flow of the newscast: (serious, straight forward, upbeat, etc)
The newscasts is very staightforward and upbeat. The flow is engaging, a bit smiley and overall
welcoming.
What are your thoughts overall after watching?

I really enjoyed the newscasts and the welcoming and homey feel of the coverage. The reporters were
full of smiles and overall very helpful when explaining the stories for the general public.

The lower-thirds included the guest names and lower-thirds for the all of the essential team members as
