Nowadays, we see many parents complaining that their child is addicted to their electronic devices.
Technology is gaining popularity these days and it is causing immense harm to those who use it.
Technology is being used in at an unpredictable rate and it is causing disruption to their social health.

Before the invention of various forms of modern gadgets, life used to be burdensome and it consumed
much of our time. Childrens’ time was spent in physical activities as well as school studies. With various
forms of technology available, children have gotten distracted more and tend to not focus on their
surroundings. This caused a depletion in the imagination and creativity of children.

Technology has started to consume the time of our youth, as opposed to being an add-on to their
education. But it is safe to say that technology is not that harmful to the young minds as long as they are
engaged in various physical activities. Some sources say that technology can affect the growth and
development of your brain and can cause disrupted sleep.

It is true that technology can bring distraction to students, especially when you know that they are
basically glued to their phones, and that even if you ban technology from your classroom, they still
manage to use them without you even noticing it. It can also give them very easily access to information
that might harm them. We have to be careful with technology as it has introduced many problems such
as hacking, malware and cyber bullying .

However, thanks to technology, the classroom no longer has walls and the learning environment no
longer has boundaries. Technology can be very useful when used wisely. Students can even learn a lot
through various websites but there must be a balance in our social life and technology. However,
technology is also great for so many reasons, and the fears linked to it can be overcome in some
efficient ways. Many apps have also been made to aid parents with their child’s use of technology. A
great way to control children's use of their devices is to use parental controls.
