This document outlines goals and strategies for a student teacher (PSI) to improve their classroom presence, engagement of students, and classroom management over 5 weeks.
The first goal is to assume a leadership role in the classroom by showing confidence, composure, and presence. Strategies include conducting lessons as if not being evaluated, being prepared, and getting feedback from mentors.
The second goal is to monitor and be aware of student behavior at all times. Strategies include glancing around the classroom, making eye contact with students, and getting feedback on classroom management.
Reflection sections are included at the midway point and end of term to assess achievements, progress, and future considerations regarding the inquiry questions.
