To incorporate FNMI into this lesson plan, I would show the class a slide with a picture of the

indigenous people’s traditional form of shelter, a tipi (also tepee or teepee). A tipi is a type of

shelter, like a house or lodge, that is shaped like a cone and traditionally made of animal skins

(bison hide) that are placed upon wooden poles. I was able to find a wide array of information
