RE: Middle School and High School Campus Closure

Dear SISD Families,

Since our recent school closure at the high school, positive cases of COVID-19 are still prevalent
among our student populations at the high school campus as well as the middle school campus.
In an abundance of caution, we have decided to close the middle school campus and the high
school campus from Monday, November 9, 2020, through Friday, November 20, 2020. During
this closure students will continue to access the online learning platform, missing zero
instructional time. Students will not return to face-to-face instruction until November 30, 2020.

Students who do not have Internet access are asked to come to the middle school or the high
school on Monday, November 9, 2020, to check out a hotspot so they will not lose instructional
time.

All UIL competitions will continue as normal and sponsors/coaches will be diligently checking
students for symptoms and checking temperatures before students are allowed to practice/play. If
a student is having COVID-19 symptoms they will need to stay home. As always, if you as a
parent do not feel comfortable with your student attending practices/games you may keep them
home.

The Sanger Middle School campus and the Sanger High School campus will be the only
campuses closed. All other Sanger ISD campuses will remain open, offering face-to-face
learning.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause your families but appreciate your
understanding and support during these challenging times.

Respectfully,
Dr. Tommy Hunter
Superintendent
Sanger Independent School District
