First Quarter Week 1-2

Content Standard:

The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other text types serve as
vehicles of expressing and resolving conflicts among individuals or groups; also, how to use
information from news reports, speeches, informative talks, panel discussions, etc. in everyday
conversations and exchanges.

Performance Standard:

The learner proficiently delivers an argumentative speech emphasizing how to resolve conflicts
among individuals or groups.

Learning Competencies:

The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her understanding of


literature and other text types for a deeper appreciation of World Literature, including Philippine
Literature.

Transfer Goal:

Learner will be communicative competent, through his/her understanding in grammar and of


literature in a specific subject matter.

Essential Questions:

How does the use information from news reports, speeches, informative talks, panel
discussions, etc. in everyday conversations and exchanges

The learning module will allow learners to understand the importance of knowing the different
style of approach in literature and in communicating in a given social interaction and influences

and grammar as ways of expressing and resolving personal conflicts. It will also let our learners
use strategies in linking textual information, repairing, enhancing communication skills.

the english language, grammar cautious and appreciate literature in every aspect.

S Standards - Learners now equipped with knowledge and confidence that they can deliver
what they are trying to convey.
