Words being said before were just like some type of a metaphor
Saying, “thank you for the friendship” every time I bid goodbye
Means of something that is beyond your mellow eye

You were a good friend, my most trusted friend

In gratitude I say, thank you for being one
It has been quite some time ago
When I asked your hand to bind with the bow
And when I’m low you were there to fight with the foe

How good it is to have a friend like you

Hoping that someday I’d be with you
Not as a friend, but as your lifetime partner
Together we conquer, the life’s barrier
