Accommodations

1. For a gifted student, I will show them a more advanced video on the
Lesson 1 water cycle. I will also allow them to explore how the environment is
affected by the water cycle.
2. For a hearing impaired student, I will be sure they are in the front of
the room so they can hear me as well as let them listen to the video
with subtitles so they can read what the video is saying.
3. For an ELL, I will provide subtitles in their native language as well as
provide their handout with translations to their native language.
1. For a gifted student, I will show them a more advanced video that
Lesson 2 goes more in depth with the life cycle of the ladybug.
2. For a student with ADHD, I will provide different triggers to help
them stay focused during the video of the ladybug.
3. For an ELL, I will provide the translation of the activity in their
native language.

1. For a gifted student, I will allow them to do extra research on the


Lesson 3 carbon cycle and create their example using the research they found.
2. For a child with a developmental disorder, I will have them draw the
carbon cycle rather than cut it out. I will also provide their
vocabulary word in a size that will make it easier for them to cut.
3. For an ELL, I will provide their vocabulary words in their native
language.

Lesson 4 energy cycle and create their flip book using different elements they
found

they can write about.

Lesson 6 technology systems and they will have the opportunity to add
different components to their system.
2. For a child with a physical disability, I will change my classroom to
accommodate them, so they have an easier time moving around my
classroom.
3. For an ELL, I will incorporate certain words in their native language
throughout the lesson.
