Oral practice - Keys

I. When did you first take a plane?

First = for the first time (por primera vez). It goes before the verb.

Possible answers:

- I first took a plane in 1987.


- I first took a plane ten years ago.
- I first took a plane when I was 15 years old.
- I first took a plane when I travelled to Mallorca.

II. Do you watch TV in the afternoon every day?

Possible answers: Yes, I do. I watch the news. / No, I don't. I work in the afternoon.

III. Where do you usually have lunch?

Lunch is not a verb! The verb is have breakfast, have lunch and have dinner.

I usually have lunch at home / at work / in a restaurant / at my mother's house.

IV. What did you do this morning?

The action is finished, it has to be in past.

I woke up very early, I got up at 6 o'clock. I had a shower and I got dressed. I had a sandwich for
breakfast and then I went to work.

Comparatives and superlatives - Keys

Laura

Laura is the oldest.

Laura's thinner than Mike but fatter than Alan and Sophie.

Laura is the tallest.

Alan

Alan is the youngest.

Alan is the thinnest.

Alan is taller than Sophie but shorter than Mike and Laura.
Mike

Mike is older than Sophie but Alan and younger than Laura.

Mike is the fattest.

Mike is taller than Sophie and Alan.

Sophie

Sophie is older than Alan but younger than Laura and Mike.

Sophie is thinner than Laura and Mike but fatter than Alan.

Sophie is the shortest.
