Former President Estrada first failed to
transfer Marcos to the Libingan ng mga
Bayani
Jejomar Binay suggested to transfer
Marcos' body at Batac City to former
President Benigno Aquino III but was
snubbed for obvious reasons.
President Rodrigo Duterte however, gave
orders to push through with it claiming
legality by saying Marcos is "a former
president and a soldier."
On November 18, 2016, Marcos was silently
buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani
with full military honors
WHY IS IT

CONTROVERSIAL?

Opinion on his burial in Libingan ng mga Bayani remain split

During Fidel Ramos' term, Marcos' body was allowed to be brought
back to Ilocos Norte on an agreement that no burial in Libingan ng
Bayani was to take place
The public was not informed about the burial beforehand
This event trampled on the victims of Marcos' Regime and their
years of fighting for oppression and justice.

The continuous revision of history and deceit to the
Filipino people the Marcoses have done

Marcos Family agreement
Marcos himself wanted to be buried beside his
mother and nowhere else

understanding the real events that
happened in the past, and not to be
deceived by the lies of the present.
