HOW TO USE THIS FOLDER?

The organization of the preparation folder is as follows:

The ‘preparation folder’ consists of the material required for PM (Specific) interview
preparation
1. First go through ‘What is product management’ to know about about the roles
and responsibilities of product management
2. Decode and Conquer and Cracking the PM Interview are the books
recommended for PM prep
3. Next step would be to look at Past interview questions & experiences to
understand what to prepare for.
4. Then move to the ‘PM Primers’ to understand the structure of a PM interview
5. The ‘REMs’ folder consists of presentations that captures a gist of the above
mentioned points. It is useful as a revision tool
6. ‘KnowledgeBase’ folder consists of documents which consists of technical
information about various technologies & domains.

The ‘Firm specific info’ folder consists of sub folders for each firm. Each subfolder
consists of
1. The most recent job description
 2. Know your company (KYC) document describing the history, product line,
strength & Weaknesses, competitors and recent developments of the firm.
This is a good way to know about a firm.
3. Some of the subfolders also contain interview (or / and) internship
experiences. This will help you in understanding the interviewer’s
expectations and the kind of questions asked.

Apart from the PM roles there are various other roles offered by PM companies such
as Category Management, Digital marketing, IT- Systems, E-commerce and
Analytics. The folder ‘Other Roles’ gives information in the similar format for each of
the specific roles mentioned.

We tried to make the PM Tech Prep folder as comprehensive as we can, but it not
completely exhaustive. Hence, this folder is “not the only” preparation required, but it
can be used to augment your actual preparation.
