I work as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department. I provide acuity based and critical nursing care. I assign
ESI numbers when triaging patients. The triage process includes, checking the patient’s vital signs, height,
weight, assessing suicide risk and depression. I also document the chief complaint. I document my nursing
assessments and initiate protocols, such as the acute coronary syndrome protocol. I draw and collect blood
specimens using a butterfly needle or peripheral line. I also collect urine specimens. I perform EKGs, and
insert peripheral lines. I administer medications using a Barcode Administration System (BCMA). I also
administer a variety of medications through various routes, such as IM, oral, and IV. I report any abnormal
labs or findings to the provider.

I work as a staff nurse on the High Intensity Psychiatric Unit (HIPU). It is an inpatient unit. My duties
includes administering medications, providing a safe and therapeutic environment, charting head-to-toe
assessments, and monitoring patients for their safety. I accompany patients to Interdisciplinary Team
meetings, where the patient meet with the entire team involved in their treatment plan. I review patient’s
charts to verify the patient are meeting their care plan treatment goals. I interact and play board games with
the patients on the ward. I often work as the charge nurse. I make shift assignments. I also give the end of
shift report to the next shift on all the patients on the ward. I also train new hires and conduct new hire
orientation. I occasionally still work on this unit when needed.

I’m the Agency Administrator/ CEO. I provide head-to-toe assessments for all initial clients. I meet with
clients and family members to sign contracts. I do all administrative duties, such as scheduling, conducting
interviews and new hire orientation, attending meetings, and payroll. I also perform marketing duties for the
company. I handle and resolve client and employee complaints.

· I worked both pre-op and post-op. I administered medications through various routes. I inserted peripheral
venous catheters. I also performed surgical scrubs for procedures. I signed consents and I checked the
consents for accuracy. I initiated doctor’s orders. I provided thorough discharge teaching and instructions to
patients and their family. I also monitored patients surgical sites. I reported abnormal labs to the physician.
I worked as a contract nurse on the Orthopedics, Urology, and Neuroscience floor. I worked on the floor. The
nurse to patient ratio was 1:5. I administer medications, charted head-to-toe assessments, monitored patient’s
vital signs, reported any abnormal labs. I monitored murphy drips, administered TPN, tracheostomy,
colostomy, PEG tubes, wounds, and IV insertions.
