    Why do you deserve to be a scholar of SMU-JPIA?
    Since I was a kid, my parents always told me to finish my education and get a bachelor’s
    degree in order to live a prosperous life and not to live in poverty like them. That’s why even
    since I’m little, the value of education is imprinted into me. I believe in Nelson Mandela’s quote
    that education is really the most powerful weapon we can use to change our lives.
    Why do I deserve to be a scholar of SMU-JPIA? The answer is so simple; I am into my
    studies more than anyone else. While others are taking it easy, I am locked down to finish BS
    Accountancy strong and graduate with honors. I give more focus, heart and passion on my
    education than anyone. My consecutive half-tuition academic scholarships were the results of
    my sleepless nights studying my lessons because as an accountancy student, I can’t afford to
    rest. If I will be given a chance to be a scholar of SMU-JPIA, I assure you that the money won’t
    go to waste. I will prove to you that I am a worthy pick because I work hard on my academics
    and give value to my education. If the University President can grant me such scholarships, then
    why can’t the JPIA? To the organization which I belong? If you’re looking for someone to be a
    scholar because he/she is doing well in school, then I am the one you’re looking for. Also, the
    four thousand pesos (PHP 4,000.00) subsidy will be a great help to me and my family to lessen
    my school expenses. I don’t belong to a wealthy family that’s why such amount will be already a
    huge help.
    A scholar is a person who pursues academic and intellectual activities, particularly those
    that develop expertise in an area of study. I deserve to be a SMU-JPIA scholar.
