Objectives of the study

General objective
The main objective of this study will be waste minimization through production process optimization by
using DMAIC six sigma approaches.

Specific objectives
In order to achieve the general objective of the study, critical specific tasks will be conducted. These are
the specific objectives and their sum gives the target goal of the study. The main specific objectives of
this study will be:

 To define production process of the company, Voice of customer and identifying critical
to quality (CTQ) parameters.
 To measure forms of waste and production process capability in the company
 To analyze the current sigma level and identifying the reason for existence of these
wastes at operator, process and value stream level
 To discover a solution to the problem by optimizing the process and to perform control
mechanism for improved processes
