Self Holding

OBJECTIVE:

To have a memory function that allows them to operate continuously even

if the circuit is cut by releasing a pressed pushbutton.

APPLICATION:

Circuit Diagram
PROCEDURE:

1. Turn on the PLC Power supply.

2. Switch the “Mode Selector” on the console to “Program Mode”.

3. Enter the Password, Press the CLR > MONTR > CLR.

4. Clear the Program in Console by Pressed the CLR key until you see
0000 displayed on the programming console.

5. Press CLR > LD > A 0 > WRITE.

6. Press OR > B 1 A 0 A 0 A 0 > WRITE.

7. Press AND > NOT > B 1 > WRITE.

8. Press OUT > B 1 A 0 A 0 A 0 > WRITE.

9. Press FUN > A 0 B 1 > WRITE.

10. Switch the “Mode Selector” to “Run Mode”. And the PLC
Training Kit will start operate.
RESULT:

From the laboratory work we learned how a PLC system works. Next
we learned how to program by using the programming console. Beside that
we also learned understanding the ladder diagram and the mnemonic
codes. Lastly we know how the Self Holding Circuit functioning.

DISCUSSION:

From the discussion we have done we learned how to read the

Circuit Diagram, Ladder Diagram and Mnemonic Codes.

CONCLUSION:

The conclusion of this laboratory work is we know that modification of

control sequence or application can easily be done by programming
through the console. Next in PLC system spare parts for relays and
hardware timers are greatly reduced as compared to conventional control
panel. Other that the machine cycle time extremely fast due to the speed of
PLC operation is a matter of milliseconds. An immediate printout of the
PLC program can be done in minutes. Therefore, hardcopy of
documentation can easily maintain.
