Describe this work sample:

The purpose of the assignment was to create a tool for market research, gather
information, and then share the results and analysis with the rest of the class.To
gather data, I created a survey about my products and displayed the results and
solutions using a slideshow.

What steps did you take to complete this work sample? Explain how you were
personally accountable for the work getting completed.

My first step was to set goals for myself and create a plan to complete them
through the week. I did research on the types of information I needed to gather
and what most businesses in my field ask on their surveys to get the most out of
them. After creating my survey and sending it to people, I analyzed the data and
determined several things I could do to improve my business or make it run more
efficiently. I compiled all this information and some other research in a slideshow
and recorded it on Flipgrid to present to the class.

Explain how you used collaboration to complete this project.

After people completed their surveys, we all shared them with each other and
took each others’ surveys to get as many responses as possible. I took as many
of the surveys as I could and answered them honestly to make sure the results
were accurate and helpful.

Critique your work sample. How can it be better?

I could have done better with my Flipgrid presentation because the audio was not
as good as I would’ve liked. The microphone seemed to malfunction a little bit
and so it was hard to hear what I was saying. Besides that, creating a more
fleshed-out script and practicing more would have made the presentation better
and gathering more information would help improve the results.

What did you learn from doing this work sample?

I learned how to properly make a market research tool and effectively analyze
the data I collected from it. I plan to make more surveys and other market
information management tools to hopefully get more results in the future and
make my business better.
