05 ‫أَﱠﳕَﺎ إَِٰﳍُُﻜْﻢ إِٰﻟَﻪٌ َواِﺣٌﺪ‬ That your God is One God

He will forgive that which is

06 ُ‫ﻚ ﻟَِﻤﻦ ﻳََﺸﺎء‬
َ ِ‫ﻳَـْﻐِﻔُﺮ َﻣﺎ ُدوَن َٰذﻟ‬ other than this, for whoever He
wishes
And most of them do not believe
07 ‫َوَﻣﺎ ﻳـُْﺆِﻣُﻦ أَْﻛﺜَـُﺮُﻫﻢ ﺑِﺎﻟﻠﱠِﻪ‬ in Allah

08 ‫ﺼﺎٍر‬
َ ‫ﲔ ِﻣْﻦ أَﻧ‬
َ ‫َوَﻣﺎ ﻟِﻠﻈﱠﺎﻟِِﻤ‬ And there are no helpers for
oppressors
Is there (anyone) from your
09 ‫َﻫْﻞ ِﻣﻦ ُﺷَﺮَﻛﺎﺋُِﻜﻢ ﱠﻣﻦ ﻳـَْﻬِﺪي‬ partners (ascribed to Allah), who
guides (you)

10 ‫ِﰲ ﻧَﺎِر َﺟَﻬﻨﱠَﻢ َﺧﺎﻟِِﺪﻳَﻦ ﻓِﻴَﻬﺎ‬ In fire of hell, they will remain in
it forever
Certainly Allah will punish
11 ‫ت‬
ِ ‫ﲔ َواﻟُْﻤﻨَﺎﻓَِﻘﺎ‬
َ ‫ب اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ اﻟُْﻤﻨَﺎﻓِِﻘ‬
َ ‫ﻟﱢﻴُـَﻌﱢﺬ‬ hypocrite men and hypocrite
women
12 ‫َوَﻛﺎَن اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ َﻏُﻔﻮًرا ﱠرِﺣﻴًﻤﺎ‬ And Allah is oft forgiving,
Merciful

And his abode is Hellfire; and there are no helpers for oppressors

4 ‫ﱠﻣﻦ ﻳـَْﻬِﺪي إَِﱃ اْﳊَﱢﻖ ۚ◌ ﻗُِﻞ اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ ﻳـَْﻬِﺪي ﻟِْﻠَﺤﱢﻖ‬

Who guides (you) to the truth? Say, Allah guides to the truth


‫ت‬
ِ ‫ﲔ َواﻟُْﻤْﺆِﻣﻨَﺎ‬
َ ِ‫ب اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ َﻋﻠَﻰ اﻟُْﻤْﺆِﻣﻨ‬
َ ‫َوﻳَـﺘُﻮ‬

And Allah accepts repentance from believing men and believing
women

5 - Please read the following verses and translate them.

[٢:١١٦] ‫ض‬ ِ ‫ ﺑَﻞ ﻟﱠﻪُ َﻣﺎ ِﰲ اﻟﱠﺴَﻤﺎَوا‬... ‫َوﻗَﺎﻟُﻮا اﱠﲣََﺬ اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ َوﻟًَﺪا‬
ِ ‫ت َواْﻷَْر‬
And they said Allah has taken son….. Rather His is that which is in the
heavens and the earth

[٦:١١٢] ‫ﺲ َواْﳉِﱢﻦ‬
ِ ‫ﲔ اِْﻹﻧ‬
َ ‫ِﱯ َﻋُﺪًّوا َﺷﻴَﺎِﻃ‬
‫ﻚ َﺟَﻌْﻠﻨَﺎ ﻟُِﻜﱢﻞ ﻧَ ﱟ‬
َ ِ‫َوَﻛَٰﺬﻟ‬
And like this we appointed for all prophets (an) enemy; Satans (from
among) the men and the jinn

[١١:٦١] ُ‫ﺻﺎِﳊًﺎ ۚ◌ ﻗَﺎَل ﻳَﺎ ﻗَـْﻮِم اْﻋﺒُُﺪوا اﻟﻠﱠﻪَ َﻣﺎ ﻟَُﻜﻢ ﱢﻣْﻦ إِٰﻟٍَﻪ َﻏْﻴـُﺮﻩ‬
َ ‫َوإِ َ ٰﱃ َﲦُﻮَد أََﺧﺎُﻫْﻢ‬
And towards the people of Thamud, their brother Hazrat Saleh (AS). He
said, O my people, you all worship Allah, (there is) not for you all from
God other than Him

[١٣:٣٨] ً‫ﻚ َوَﺟَﻌْﻠﻨَﺎ َﳍُْﻢ أَْزَواًﺟﺎ َوذُﱢرﻳﱠﺔ‬

َ ِ‫َوﻟََﻘْﺪ أَْرَﺳْﻠﻨَﺎ ُرُﺳًﻼ ﱢﻣﻦ ﻗَـْﺒﻠ‬
And certainly we sent messengers from before you and we made for
them wives and decedents

[١٩:٨٨] ‫ﲪَُﻦ َوﻟًَﺪا‬

ٰ ْ ‫َوﻗَﺎﻟُﻮا اﱠﲣََﺬ اﻟﱠﺮ‬
And they said, The beneficent has taken son

[٢٥:٣١] ‫ﲔ‬
َ ‫ِﱯ َﻋُﺪًّوا ﱢﻣَﻦ اﻟُْﻤْﺠِﺮِﻣ‬
‫ﻚ َﺟَﻌْﻠﻨَﺎ ﻟُِﻜﱢﻞ ﻧَ ﱟ‬
َ ِ‫َوَﻛَٰﺬﻟ‬
And like this we appointed for all prophets an enemy from the guilty


ones

[٤٠:٥] ‫ب ِﻣﻦ ﺑَـْﻌِﺪِﻫْﻢ‬

ُ ‫ﺖ ﻗَـْﺒـﻠَُﻬْﻢ ﻗَـْﻮُم ﻧُﻮٍح َواْﻷَْﺣَﺰا‬
ْ َ‫َﻛﱠﺬﺑ‬
Denied 1before them People of Nuh(AS) and the faction after them

[٥٥:٤٣] ‫ب ِﻬﺑَﺎ اﻟُْﻤْﺠِﺮُﻣﻮَن‬

ُ ‫َٰﻫِﺬِﻩ َﺟَﻬﻨﱠُﻢ اﻟﱠِﱵ ﻳَُﻜﱢﺬ‬
This is hell that which the guilty ones will deny.

6 - Please read the following verses and translate them. (Answers will be
sent with the next lesson)

[٤:١١٦] ُ‫ﻚ ﻟَِﻤﻦ ﻳََﺸﺎء‬

َ ِ‫إِﱠن اﻟﻠﱠﻪَ َﻻ ﻳَـْﻐِﻔُﺮ أَن ﻳُْﺸَﺮَك ﺑِِﻪ َوﻳَـْﻐِﻔُﺮ َﻣﺎ ُدوَن َٰذﻟ‬
Certainly Allah will not forgive that, a partner be ascribed to Him; and
He will forgive that which is other than this, for whoever He wishes.

َ ‫َﻣﻦ ﻳُْﺸِﺮْك ﺑِﺎﻟﻠﱠِﻪ ﻓَـَﻘْﺪ َﺣﱠﺮَم اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ َﻋﻠَْﻴِﻪ اْﳉَﻨﱠﺔَ َوَﻣﺄَْواﻩُ اﻟﻨﱠﺎُر ۖ◌ َوَﻣﺎ ﻟِﻠﻈﱠﺎﻟِِﻤ‬
‫ﲔ ِﻣْﻦ‬
[٥:٧٢] ‫ر‬ ٍ ‫ﺼﺎ‬
َ ‫أَﻧ‬
He who ascribes partner to Allah, then certainly Allah forbade upon him
heaven; and his abode is Hellfire; and there are no helpers for oppressors

[١٠:٣٥] ‫ﻗُْﻞ َﻫْﻞ ِﻣﻦ ُﺷَﺮَﻛﺎﺋُِﻜﻢ ﱠﻣﻦ ﻳـَْﻬِﺪي إَِﱃ اْﳊَﱢﻖ ۚ◌ ﻗُِﻞ اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ ﻳـَْﻬِﺪي ﻟِْﻠَﺤﱢﻖ‬
Say, Is there (anyone) from your partners (ascribed to Allah), who
guides (you) to the truth? Say, Allah guides to the truth

[١٢:١٠٦] ‫ َوُﻫﻢ ﱡﻣْﺸِﺮُﻛﻮَن‬٢‫َوَﻣﺎ ﻳـُْﺆِﻣُﻦ أَْﻛﺜَـُﺮُﻫﻢ ﺑِﺎﻟﻠﱠِﻪ إِﱠﻻ‬

And most of them do not believe in Allah, except in the state of ascribing

The letter ‘ ’ has multiple meanings in Arabic one of the things it denotes is a state of being – like in the above ayat it denotes
a state of ascribing partner to Allah
partner to Allah

[١٧:١١١] ‫ﻚ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ ِﰲ اﻟُْﻤْﻠ‬
ٌ ‫َوﻗُِﻞ اْﳊَْﻤُﺪ ﻟِﻠﱠِﻪ اﻟﱠِﺬي َﱂْ ﻳـَﺘﱠِﺨْﺬ َوﻟًَﺪا َو َﱂْ ﻳَُﻜﻦ ﻟﱠﻪُ َﺷِﺮﻳ‬
And Say, The praise is for Allah He who has not taken son and there is
not for Him a partner in the kingdom

[١٨:٢٦] ‫ِﱄ َو َﻻ ﻳُْﺸِﺮُك ِﰲ ُﺣْﻜِﻤِﻪ أََﺣًﺪا‬

‫َﻣﺎ َﳍُﻢ ﱢﻣﻦ ُدوﻧِِﻪ ِﻣﻦ َو ﱟ‬
There is not for them from other than him, a guardian and he does not
take anyone (as a) partner in His judgment

‫ﱄ أَﱠﳕَﺎ إَِٰﳍُُﻜْﻢ إِٰﻟَﻪٌ َواِﺣٌﺪ ۖ◌ ﻓََﻤﻦ َﻛﺎَن ﻳَـْﺮُﺟﻮ‬

‫ﻗُْﻞ إِﱠﳕَﺎ أَﻧَﺎ ﺑََﺸٌﺮ ﱢﻣﺜْـﻠُُﻜْﻢ ﻳُﻮَﺣٰﻰ إِ َﱠ‬
[١٨:١١٠] ‫ﺪا‬ً ‫ﺻﺎِﳊًﺎ َوَﻻ ﻳُْﺸِﺮْك ﺑِﻌِﺒَﺎَدِة َرﺑﱢِﻪ أََﺣ‬
َ ‫ﻟَِﻘﺎءَ َرﺑﱢِﻪ ﻓَـْﻠﻴَـْﻌَﻤْﻞ َﻋَﻤًﻼ‬
Say, certainly only I am human like you all. It has been revealed unto me
; So whoever expects for an encounter (with) His Lord; then he should do
righteous deed and he should not ascribe any partner in the worship of
his Lord

‫ ﻳَـْﻌﺒُُﺪوﻧَِﲏ َﻻ ﻳُْﺸِﺮُﻛﻮَن ِﰊ‬....‫ت‬ ِ ‫ﺼﺎِﳊَﺎ‬ ‫َوَﻋَﺪ اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ اﻟﱠِﺬﻳَﻦ آَﻣﻨُﻮا ِﻣﻨُﻜْﻢ َوَﻋِﻤﻠُﻮا اﻟ ﱠ‬
[٢٤:٥٥] ‫ن‬ َ ‫ﻚ ُﻫُﻢ اﻟَْﻔﺎِﺳُﻘﻮ‬ َ ِ‫َﺷْﻴﺌًﺎ ۚ◌ َوَﻣﻦ َﻛَﻔَﺮ ﺑَـْﻌَﺪ َٰذﻟ‬
َ ِ‫ﻚ ﻓَﺄُوٰﻟَﺌ‬
Allah promised, those who believed from you all and did righteous
deeds…. They all worship me, they all do not ascribe anything (as a)
partners to me. And whoever was ungrateful after that so those, they are
transgressors

‫ب اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ َﻋﻠَﻰ‬
َ ‫ت َوﻳَـﺘُﻮ‬
ِ ‫ﲔ َواﻟُْﻤْﺸِﺮَﻛﺎ‬َ ِ‫ت َواﻟُْﻤْﺸِﺮﻛ‬ِ ‫ﲔ َواﻟُْﻤﻨَﺎﻓَِﻘﺎ‬
َ ‫ب اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ اﻟُْﻤﻨَﺎﻓِِﻘ‬
َ ‫ﻟﱢﻴُـَﻌﱢﺬ‬
[٣٣:٧٣] ‫ﻤﺎ‬ ً ‫ت ۗ◌ َوَﻛﺎَن اﻟﻠﱠﻪُ َﻏُﻔﻮًرا ﱠرِﺣﻴ‬ ِ ‫ﲔ َواﻟُْﻤْﺆِﻣﻨَﺎ‬ َ ِ‫اﻟُْﻤْﺆِﻣﻨ‬
Certainly Allah will punish hypocrite men and hypocrite women and
polytheist men and polytheist women and Allah accepts repentance from
believing men and believing women. And Allah is oft forgiving, Merciful
 [٩٨:٦] ‫ﲔ ِﰲ ﻧَﺎِر َﺟَﻬﻨﱠَﻢ َﺧﺎﻟِِﺪﻳَﻦ ﻓِﻴَﻬﺎ‬
َ ِ‫ب َواﻟُْﻤْﺸِﺮﻛ‬
ِ ‫إِﱠن اﻟﱠِﺬﻳَﻦ َﻛَﻔُﺮوا ِﻣْﻦ أَْﻫِﻞ اﻟِْﻜﺘَﺎ‬
Certainly those who disbelieved from (among the) people of the Book
and polytheist (will be) in fire of hell, they will remain in it forever
