INVITATION FOR APPLICATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BUILDING

CONTRACTORS
(RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
For

PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT (OPD) ON PLOT

No. 43, OLD MOSHI ROAD-ARUSHA- PA075/HQ/2018/19/W/01

1. This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for
this project that appeared in the Daily Newspaper of dated 11 th, April, 2018 and
Centre’s website.

2. The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) has set aside funds towards
the cost of the Construction of Outpatient Department (OPD) on Plot No. 43,
Old Moshi Road-Arusha, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this
fund to payments under the contract for this project.

3. The AICC intends to Pre-qualify Contractors for the referred project. It is

expected that invitations to tender will be made in February, 2019.

4. Pre-qualification will be conducted through the procedures specified in

Regulation 119 of the Public Procurement Regulations, – Government Notice 446
of 2013, and is open to Contractors registered by the Contractors Registration
Board (CRB) under Class four (4) and above.
5. Interested applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the
prequalification documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board,
Arusha International Conference Centre, East Africa Road, Ngorongoro Wing,
Third Floor, P.O.Box 3081, Arusha, Tanzania from 08.30 to 15.30 hours local time
on Monday to Friday inclusive, except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by
interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address
given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Tzs
100,000.00 or equivalent amount in freely convertible currency. Payment should
either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Managing
Director.
7. All applications one original plus two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in
plain envelopes must be delivered to the address indicated below at or before
Thursday, 31st January, 2019 at 1430hrs. Applications will be opened promptly
 thereafter in public and in the presence of applicants’ representatives who choose
to attend in the opening at the Jumuiya room, 3rd Floor, Ngorongoro wing.

8. Late applications, portion of applications, electronic applications, applications

not received, applications not opened and not read out in public at the opening
ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
