Assignment on “Grendel’s Mother”

1. You are the poet and storyteller for King Hrothgar!

2. It is your job to re-tell the section focusing on Grendel’s mother.

3. You will re-tell the section in 24 total lines. You will arrange these
into six stanzas of four lines each. Number the lines. Be sure to
capitalize the first word of each line.

4. Your poem does not have to rhyme, but it may.

5. Do not create rhyming words that are not in the English language.
Your story or poem must be composed in standard English language
with no slang or too many clichés.

6. Proofread for errors.

7. Single space the stanzas but double space between the stanzas.
