Question

Revitalise/reposition/recreate/create a mythic value for yourself for your Dream Company


and/ or dream profile and write that as a cover letter.

Sub-sections of the question

Section 1: Organisation’s / profile‘s derivation of an ‘innovative’ mythic quality

 Look at the market/industry ethos/trend and situate the firm. See where it is was, and
where it is heading, [keeping in mind the larger discourse of where the market was
and is and going to], and establish its window of opportunity. We call this the Firm
Profile Analysis. And the WOO is the firm’s agile quotient in an agile market!.

 Once you get the WOO, screen through your CV and develop the points you have that
can supply to this WOO. This section is called the Communicational Window of
Opportunity Strategy Map.

 Define the WOO as a leverageable mythic value.

Section 2: Weave the Cover Letter narrative around the mythic quality (CL should not
exceed 1 and half pages). Simply write a formal cover letter.

Section 3: Develop a generic template for the properties of narratives for a Cover Letter
using the mythic value, for writing cover letters for similar organisations / profiles, from
section 1 and section 2.
(a) List similar firms, stating the similar properties because the mythic value / WOO
works for all of them: thus develop / state a nomenclature for the cluster of firms
(b) List broad requirements to be positioned by the candidate in around the mythic
value
(c) Develop the narrative strategy – thus developing a narrative framework: how
should you write a CL constructing the elevator pitch around the mythic value.
