MODEL 245
FUEL EFFICIENT PILOT
ADVANTAGES GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Model 245 Fuel Efficient Flare Pilot is a high alloy, stainless steel
Low fuel consumption
pilot operating on fuel gas and in conjunction with a flame front
generator. It is composed of the pilot head, fuel gas line, ignition line,
Ease of installation and/or
retro-fit applications inspirator, and optional thermocouple. The pilot head assembly
includes a flame retention nozzle and wind shroud which are both
Durability due to high alloy, manufactured from 310 stainless steel for extended service life. This
stainless steel construction specially engineered pilot head is capable of sustaining a stable
flame in winds of up to 150 mph. Pilot fuel gas travels up the flare in a

ADVANTAGES GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Flame front generator technology is an effective, time proven ignition system
Reliable time tested pilot which has been widely used in flaring applications for decades. The inherent
ignition technology reliability, rugged construction, and ease of operation as well as its
economic advantages have allowed the flame front generator (FFG) to
Manual or remain one of the most popular forms of pilot ignition in the industry. The FFG
automatic/manual is easily adaptable to any pilot system which incorporates an ignition tube
operation
and may be installed up to 1 mile (1600m) from the base of the flare stack.
Flare Industries designs and manufactures several styles of FFG systems which
Low maintenance expenses
can operate in automatic or manual mode.
Cost effective ignition

thereby creating a combustible air/gas mixture in the ignition line. This

Model 310/330 Self Inspirating Flame Front Generator
Flame Front Generator The Model 310 is Flare Industries´ manual self inspirating flame front generator
while the Model 330 boasts an automatic control system for ignition and re-
ignition. These two models do not require instrument air as they are designed
to inspirate ambient air. Flare Industries employs this technology when a
client does not wish to supply instrument air or when located in a remote
area where instrument air may not be available. This extremely reliable and
easy to operate ignition system uses the same basic design principles and
possesses most of the same features as the Models 300 and 320.

specifications and client requirements. The result is a custom combustion solution
that fits the client’s requirements – every time.
With offices located on three continents and a sales and marketing network spanning
the globe, our company is totally dedicated to the global marketplace and rapidly
changing business environment of the 21st century. Our staff of engineers is well
versed in multiple languages, cultures, and business environments, providing our cli-
ents with superior service. Flare Industries has thousands of installed combustion
systems currently eliminating industrial waste around the world.
In 2008, Mactronic joined the Flare Industries group of companies and brought over
25 years of flaring and combustion experience. Mactronic, also known for its in-
novative technologies, has enabled Flare Industries to expand its product line and
provide additional support to its Canadian clients through Mactronic’s full service
design and manufacturing facility in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.
Flares are devices which burn or combust industrial gaseous wastes in a safe,
controlled and efficient manner. These vapors are produced by industries such
as petroleum refining and production, chemical processing, offshore production,
chemical loading, natural gas production, steel fabrication, bio-fuel production,
waste water treatment, and landfills. Our innovative equipment provides optimum
performance in meeting local and federal environmental regulations or protecting
your plant’s operations.
