Objective

My primary goal as a teacher is to make learning both accessible and fun for my students. Effective teaching must be
a collaborative effort; a good teacher should aim to work together with their students as a team in order to build a
trust relationship and lasting performance improvement. Such a teacher must: understand their students’ differing
needs, develop sensitivity to different learning styles, and employ creativity appropriately so as to boost their
students interest in and comprehension of the study material presented.

Design and develop two school’s general music curriculum and scheduling following state lead guidelines and
requirements. Interconnect Microsoft, Nearpod, Google slides and other various computer programs to create fun
and unique lessons that inspire students to participate despite Covid-19 conditions. New teaching techniques include
students being taught music through composition using the music style of rap as a focus medium. Students will
create their own unique rap along with a sample melody which will be compiled over a choice of rhythm. This
innovative take on teaching music combines poetry, English language and language rhythmic elements, as well as a
deeper understanding of melody and music composition.
