My drawing portrays some of the pros (green side) and the cons (blue side) of
the ethical issue,Euthanasia. “Letting one’s hour come”, is what the sea creatures
wanted while “Sending one to the promised land”, is what the variety flying creatures
desire. Some of the disadvantages of euthanasia are depicted by the sea creatures
such as the crab which personifies a family member who only wants his personal gains,
the fish and the clam that embody health care providers and police men because it is
unethical for it contradicts the Hippocratic oath and it is also considered as a crime and
such like. Some of the advantages of Euthanasia are symbolized by the flying
creatures like the bee that wanted to grant the wishes of the patient, the bird that shows
that he is penurious and cannot afford the bills in the hospital and so on. Arguments for
and against euthanasia are indeed a challenging topic because it encompasses many
views like legal, moral, family and healthcare just like some of the scenarios depicted in
my drawing.
