Pneumatic and Hydraulic

Systems Lab.

Experiment No: 5

Experiment Name: Continuous operation

by Pneumatic control valve

St. Name: omar yousif sliet

St. No.: 201710164

Section : mechanical

engineering Date: 22/10/2020

*Objective:

- to be able to connect the circuit , and are identify

the tools functions that were used .
-to know how i can make connection operation of
piston wire and using manual .
- to know the function of time delay valve and how
it connected .
-to know the function of trip valve and how it
connected .
-to know the function of one way flow control
valve .
*Introduction:

- some industrial processes require a continuous process for the production

process for example , the carlon box production line needs to go through
several stages . so the process of those stage must be continouse or a
separaling out opins production line in order for the rod to be sepurated
process at separating it .
- therefore in order to operate a pneumatic system we need several tools
which we will recognize in this experiment .
*Equipment’s:

1- Pump unit :
-electrical motor
- hydraulic pump
- pressure gauge
- pressure relief valve
2- Flow control valves .
3- 4/3 directional control valve .
4- 4/ 2 directional control valve .
5- double acting cylinder .
7- pip line .

- electrical circuit :
1- Power supply
2- switch – pushbutton
3- valve solenoid
4- Relay
* connection circuit from Fluidsim Program :

1-

2-
3-

*Results and Observations:

- The increase and decrease in pressure affect the operation of the
system, so a simulation of the system must be done and the required
pressure calculated for the system to avoid problems .
- A hydraulic system differs from a pneumatic system in terms of the pump
and suction .
- The hydraulic system needs constant monitoring and examination. Lack
of oil level problems may occur or the pipes may become blocked due to
damage to the filter ...ect .
