In May 2017, Jan Jenisch was appointed as the new CEO of LafargeHolcim Group.

In March
2018, Jan Jenisch announced a new strategy, Strategy 2022 – ‘Building for Growth’, which aims
to drive profitable growth and simplify the business to deliver resilient returns and attractive
value to stakeholders. The new strategy will shift gears towards growth of the top and bottom
line over the next five years.  In August 2019, the firm announced a "commercial breakthrough
for low-carbon cement", Solidia Concrete, which "reduces the overall carbon footprint in
precast concrete by 70%"

Place

LafargeHolcim has a leading position in all regions of the world and has branches in about 80
countries. It cuts across the board with the balanced portfolio between developing and mature
offices.

Products and Price

Lafarge Holcim offers a broad range of high-quality building materials and solutions at
affordable prices. The simplification of production allows LafargeHolcim to improve its cost
efficiency considerably. This is expected to eliminate complex processes in the production line
and create more profits by increased sales at cost saving of CHF 400 million per annum with the
related program expected to be completed by 2019. This simplification process will push the
prices down.   It also offers solutions to both individual homes and major infrastructure
projects. The demand for their products is on the increase due to population growth,
urbanization, improved living standards and the increase in awareness for sustainable
construction.

LafargeHolcim is always seeking to deliver above market performance. It prides of a strong


asset base that it uses to invest in markets where greater opportunities exist, while at the same
time being selective in other markets hence, they don’t focus much on the economy they are
medium and premium.

Promotion

They offer affordable housing solutions helping populations with low revenue access housing at
the most affordable cost and they offer microcredits via partnerships with institutions such as
