Kangaroo
 There are about 50 kangaroo species in total. Kangaroos
are very common in Australia. They eat grasses, leaves,
flowers and even some types of insects.
 For most of the day, kangaroos spend their days lying in
the shade. In the evening, when the air cools down,
they start looking for food and water. Kangaroos warn
each other about the danger of banging the ground with
their hind legs.
 Large adult kangaroos have strong hind legs and tails. They
can jump up 3m and jump backwards 9m. The tail helps
them to maintain balance.
Koala
 Koala is an idle and lazy mammal.
 Occasionally, it crawls downward to the ground to have
some soil, bark or gravel to help aid in digestion.
 Koala babies (called joys or pinkies) are being breastfed
for 6 months and live in mother’s pouch. Afterwards,
the youngster sticks out of the pouch and holds on to
mother’s back.
Tasmaninian devil
 The devil, the devil of Tasmania, is the mammal, usually
called as native cat. It is black fur with a white streak on
its chest. Its upleasant odour and loudness help to frighten
predators
 An animal produces unpleasant sounds: it growls, whines,
then leads to a cough of anger, followed by sound of bite.
Because of its appearance, sounds and anger, it is related
to the devil itself and considered a prophet of disasters.
 They eat plants, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, small
mammals.
Australian Dingo
 Dingo is a mammal of the Dogs family. It is the dog of the
purest breed because there are no other wild dogs as
such to be compared with.
 Although the breed was brought here by Aborigens about
4000 years ago as domestic animals. This is probably
the only surviving offspring of prehistoric pet dogs.
Mating once a year, raising and taking good care of
their pups.
 Diet consists lizards, rabbits, rodents, and sometimes
fruits or plants.

Platypus
 It is a endemic Australian animal, which has similar to a
duck beak, foiled legs and a beaver tail.
 The so-called duck beak is not like another hard beak as of
the - it is soft, flexible, what skin is joined to the rest
of the body. The beak and legs are black and the fur is
usually dark brown.
 Ducklings feed on insect larvae, shrimps, bivalve
molluscs, frogs and fish eggs. Ducklings do not have
teeth, they use their beak to take food.
Echidna
 Echidian cage animals. It is a small animal with black,
brown spawn-spiked body. Snout similar to a beak,
small mouth, no teeth. Legs are short, strong, with long
nails. The tail is not developed.
 Nourishes with termites and ants, caught in a long and
sticky tongue. Common in New Guinea, Tasmania and
Australia.

Litchfield National Park
 Litchfield National Park is located in the Northern
Territory, Australia. The area is about 1480 km². The
National Park was announced in 1986, named after Fred
Litchfield, who studied the area in 1864.
 There are a lot of termite-built settlements in the park.
The Lost City is a place where there are many
sandstone blocks and pillar erosion that had formed
over the million years ago. Eucalyptus grows in the
park. There are many wonderful waterfalls.
 Such an environment attracts tourists (about 250,000 per
year). Back in the days, it used to be a home of Native
Aborigens.


Kakadu National Park
 Kakadu National Park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site. Set in the South Aligator River Basin, Australia, the
park offers many interesting things for wildlife lovers.
 Kakadu National Park has a total of about 13,000 people
population living there.
Daintree National Park

 Daintree National Park is located in northern Queensland,


Australia. The park was founded in 1988 and included
on the World Heritage List in the same year. The park is
formed out of two sectors, including the agricultural
area and the cities - Mosman and Deintri Vilidz.
 The majority part of the park is the rainforests with satin
ash. The popular Mosman Gorge is in the south of the
park.
Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park
 The Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is located in the
Nordic part of Australia, 1431 km south of Darwin.
 Park area - 1326 km². 307.7 millimeters of precipitation
falls in the area in a year. The temperature in the
summer reaches 45°C, while winter temperatures may
drop down to -5°C.
