CII Institute of Quality is pleased to announce Two Days Awareness programme on - NEW! Standard
ISO/IEC 17025:2017- General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories in
Bangalore.
 
Introduction
 
The course will benefit those who are already familiar with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 and
who are looking to understand the changes that have been made in the new standard. The course will
enable participants to gain an awareness of the revised structure of ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 and its function
as a framework for demonstrating competence and rationale behind the changes, and will consider how
the new emphasis on risk management can be applied in a laboratory environment. It will help gain an
understanding of the changes through the application of structure, resource and process, thus helping
participants consider what impact these changes will have on their own Organisations.
 
 
Course Coverage: 

 Requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard:

 Describe the process-based approach of the Standard;
 Explain new concepts such as:
 PDCA process with Risk/Opportunities Identification and Mitigation;
 Verification and Validation;
 Decision Rules; and
 Principles of Impartiality;
 Organizational and Management Structure
 Personnel and Measurement Resources (competence, facilities, and equipment)
 Management System (document and record control, internal audits and management reviews,
and handling and prevention of non-conforming work events)
 Traceability requirements for measurement equipment
 Participation in proficiency testing

 
Certification:
 
The participants will receive a “Certification of Participation”
 
Target Attendees
 
The course is aimed at any individual responsible for implementing and maintaining a quality
management system accredited to the existing ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 and looking to transition to the
revised standard. The course will also be useful to any individual to understand and appreciate the
differences between the 2005 and 2017 editions of the standard.
 
 
Course Fee:
 

 Rs 7500 plus 18% tax  per participant for CII Member

 Rs 8500 plus 18% tax  per participant for Non CII Member.
 10% discount on fee for 3 or more participation from one organization.
