ANEMOMETER CALIBRATIONS
Ecotech’s NATA/ISO17025 accredited wind
sensor calibration laboratory provides traceable
calibrations for a wide range of wind speed and
direction sensors.
Our team of specialist technicians provides
calibration services using our CSIRO designed and
NATA accredited wind tunnel to industry, research
and community organisations to ensure their
instruments are accurately measuring wind speed
and direction.

We are able to calibrate all makes and models of
conventional vane, hot wire, cup, propeller, ultrasonic
and pitot tube anemometers.
CALIBRATION TYPES
High speed test
Calibrations are performed in the range 0.30 to
30 ms-1 with a measurement uncertainty
of +/- 0.05 ms-1 or +/- 1 % (whichever is greater) at a
95 % confidence level with a K coverage factor of 2
unless otherwise stated.
Low speed test
Calibrations are performed in the range 0.30 to
15 ms-1 with a measurement uncertainty
of +/- 0.05 ms-1 or +/- 1 % (whichever is greater) at a
95 % confidence level with a K coverage factor of 2
unless otherwise stated.
A NATA calibration certificate and graph is supplied
as part of the calibration. Low and high ranges can
be tailored to suit customers requirements.
Wind direction test
Calibrations are performed using a rotary table at
nominal wind speed of 6.0 m/s at each 30 degrees,
with a measurement uncertainty of +/- 2 degrees at
a 95 % confidence level with a K coverage factor of 2
unless otherwise stated.
