BUGKOT THE SUBTLE CITY OF SAMAR

In Samar there's a legendary kingdom called Biringan. Biringan is a mysterious place that evoke
odd to human being because it is more than just a legend but also a place of enchanted one. It
is a highly urbanized city that possesses great architecture, peculiar light, structure and etc. In
general, this really hold an attribute that bizarre to what human used too. Biringan beauty and
grandeur lure human to come into their realm to witness it's peculiar splendor or to stay there
forever. However, human didn't know exactly how to go there because the realm is wrapped by
magic to hide it from the human.

The engkantos of Biringan are the only one who are capable of bringing human to their place
through magical portal connecting their kingdom to our world. There's a lot of portal that lead
to the city, one is the huge balete tree in Pagsanghan, circle rock formation and many more.
The engkantos have the ability to change their forms in whatever creatures they want. They can
able to walk among human and they are attracted to beautiful and handsome human who they
thought suitable as their partner, they convince human to come along to them.

One of the resident of Samar have seen the lost city of Biringan her name is Potenciana
Bordallo. When she was 13 years old, while she was in the backyard at night collecting the
hanged laundry. Suddenly, two men appeared and forcibly taken her to Biringan City because
the engkantos named Romi like her. They passed by a dark area and grasses going to the City.
When they arrived she saw how bright the city is and how big the houses they have. She was
offered a plate of white rice and black rice and she's being ask to choose from the two, if
Potenciana chose the black rice she can never go back to human world. But, Potenciana refused
to eat any of the food offered and she requested to be taken back to human land and she
requested to be just friend with them instead. Potenciana experience is only one of the many
people who have seen the peculiar beauty of Biringan City.

After that encounter Samarnon believed that whenever someone was involved in an accident,
cought a mysterious illness or suddenly disappeared, it might being taken by engkanto to
Biringan. They called it "BUGKOT".
