The World's Worst CCTV Mishaps OGR
Originally starting as a safety video spoof, the evolving ideals around CCTV led to a more “Home Video” styles
comedy production. Moom is a student going from job to job during his summer break, his high anxiety and
clumsiness brings disastrous conclusions to unfolding events.
The World Worst CCTV Mishaps is a series of 20-30 second skits full of slapstick comedy. Inspired by the show
“You’ve Been Framed” and “Americas Funniest Home videos”, Moom’s unfortunate occurrences will reek
havoc on one small street.
Taking on a 1980’s American theme, research led to a period full of colour, dynamic synth music and retro
clothing. The jobs in this animation are some of the most commonly found for this time period, and are as
follows: A video store assistance, a roller diner waiter, a hotel bell hop and a Laundrette attendant.
This OGR contains the elements required for the working progress animatic, comedy to be more refined.
These include: research, character designs, scripts and storyboards. In terms of a end goal, a 2 minute
playblasted animation will be produced in maya, complete with textures, composition and soundtrack.
