The Mt. Pleasant Corporation’s New President

The Mt. Pleasant Corporation has formally announced former Executive Vice

President Harvey Wilsoon as our new president. Wilsoon replaces Adam Smith who

announced his retirement as president after 15 years. Wilsoon will assume the

presidency on Monday, Feb 4.

Wilsoon is a husband and father of two college students. Wilsoon has been

executive vice president for seven years.Wilsoon has a bachelors of arts in accounting

from the University of Washington and a master of business administration from

Stanford University.

New President
Prior to working for The Mt. Pleasant Corporation, Wilsoon served as chief

financial officer of several construction firms including Krupp Company, which builds

hotels around the world. Wilsoon, is also former executive vice president of Knox

Company, developer of suburban shopping malls.

Wilsoon is not only known for his quiet, efficient management style, but also for

his community involvement in his hometown of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Wilsoon is a

member of the National Accounting Association and was formerly on its board. Wilsoon

was also a member of the Illinois Round Table, the Chicago Sailing Club and Chicago

Athletics Club.

Wilsoon’s appointment as president was originally announced by the Mt.

Pleasant board of directors. Wilsoon lives in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and will move to

Mt. Pleasant within the next month.

The Mt. Pleasant Corporation owns a number of office parks across the nation

and manages 22 other properties. Total revenue for the corporation last year was $46

million. The Corporate offices are located at 111 S. University in Mt. Pleasant.
