ANKYLOSAURUS

DESCRIPTION
The Ankylosaurus is the largest known ankylosaurus
dinosaur, it is estimated that it would have reached up to 6.25
meters long, 1.5 m wide and 1.7 m high at the hip. and should
have weighed around 6 tons, This length has been proposed
by the American paleontologist Kenneth Carpenter, and is
based on the largest known skull, NMC 8880 specimen, which
is 64.5 centimeters long and 74.5 cm long. with two horns
pointing backwards from the back of the head, and two horns
below them pointing backwards and downwards. The front of
the face was covered with a beak, with rows of small teeth,
leaf-shaped further behind it. It was covered in armor plates or
osteoderms, with half bone rings covering the neck, and had a
large mallet at the end of its tail. Ankylosaurus was
herbivorous
