STRENGTHS

 The committee has highly effective members who are capable to perform various
tasks.
 The Committee on Cultural Affairs offers and joins relevant programs and
projects like Trick or Treat, Sama-Sama sa Pagkakaisa Party, Pabasa, Flores de
Mayo, Barangay Day, Binibining San Antonio, Cooking Contest, Ms. Makati and
Flores de Mayo ng Makati.
 The Committee on Community Development has completed different activities
like Regular Monthly meeting, Ugnayan sa Magkakapitbahay and Community
Leadership Seminar
 The committee supports staff development programs.
 The committee has strong linkages with government organizations and non-
government organizations.
 The committee has institutionalized programs responsive to the demands and
needs of the communities

WEAKNESSES

 The implementation of some committee projects fails due to short of budget.

 Lack of support for operations and equipment.
 Insufficient staff to fully support the programs.
 Need to offer diversified but relevant programs.
 Lack of mechanism for research and innovation.
 Limited utilization of the budget.
  Absence of barangay innovation program.
 Opportunities for projects and programs is limited.
 Inadequate facilities for effective monitoring & evaluation.
 Lack of operating resources to establish programs.

OPPORTUNITIES

 There are numerous organizations both public and private that provide
opportunities for personnel development.
 There are agencies, private individuals, and local governments that supports the
programs and projects of the committee.
 There is a strong program under the City Government of Makati for the
development of management and leadership capabilities of barangay officials.
 There are affordable and available technologies that the barangay administration
can acquire and deploy to improve efficiency of its various services.
 The committee adopts measures to support various programs of the barangay.
 There are available skills and development trainings/seminars/workshops offered
by various government and private entities to support staff development
initiatives

THREATS

 Lack of policies for program continuity when political leadership change.

 Gaps in the monitoring and enforcement of barangay policies.
 The emerging adoption of world culture that threats moral values of the youth
can affect the programs and projects of the committee.
 Vulnerability to economic cycle fluctuation.
 Lack of competence and trainings of some staff.
 Slow transformation process of barangay people to change their values, belief
and attitudes.
 Changes in barangay leadership may affect sustainability of projects.
 Accelerated degradation of environment due to pollution.
 Vulnerability to natural calamities and disasters by virtue of the geographic
location.
 Fast pace development of technology where the barangay could hardly catch up
due to limited budget.
 Poor implementation of policies/legislation.
